Last week my friend Fanis, aka @fanellas and I decided to go on a little scouting trip, to find some interesting spot for photography. We decided to leave Athens and head north. While driving on the national highway E75 we saw some empty silos on the side of the road so we took the first exit and headed there. What we found was quite interesting. Here is a selection of the photos I took. We are definitely going back soon…
It’s always the weekend. I just need to leave the city. The hot summer weather just amplifies this wanderlust. Thanks to Fanis and Lia, I quenched my thirst for a bit of adventure. They invited me over to their rural house in a small village near Mycenae. I was ready in an instant, packed the camera bag and just left the city behind.
I’ve been busy with stuff and so I haven’t posted anything for a while but this Sunday I was determined to make the time and arrange something with my friends. An abandoned military base at the top of a mountain sounded just about right.
Our last Sunday gathering didn’t look too promising. We were almost sure that there wouldn’t be much photographic interest in Loutsa plus the boring weather had us almost convinced that this would just be a hanging out only get together. But there is always beauty everywhere. All you need to do is look for it..
Sometimes photo walks are all about making new friends and having fun. Once that happens, then the nice shots start rolling in!
A pre-vacation weekend break, July was the perfect month to visit beautiful Syros in the Cyclades. Had to settle some business and see certain friends. Explored the island a bit and found this amazing abandoned mansion over Komito beach. I took a few pics there, and also tried some night photography. Unfortunately the strong wind didn’t help me much. My favorite beach to swim is by far Agathopes and my favorite restaurant Allou Gyalou on Kini beach.
